Antipoison Creek, VA

We had a very smooth cruise, to the Deltaville area, with even some sun breaking through the overcast. We arrived in Antipoison Creek around 1720, in time for a visit to the beach, and some swimming for the dogs. Antipoison Creek is said to be named for a time when Captain John Smith sought treatment here by native Indians for some sort of poisoning or such illness, and hence the name. Tomorrow we should be able to make Norfolk, not sure if we’ll visit for a while or just push on. We enjoyed our time in Norfolk last fall, despite spending four days in pretty miserable weather. Perhaps we’ll have better weather this time around!
