The Cruiser’s dilemma

Posts for the past couple of days have been put on hold. My dad of 87 years was hospitalized with endocarditis, bacterial growth around his mitral valve. The source of the infection is undetermined, and really has little bearing on his condition other than the consequenses. After undergoing tests early last week, more information revealed the extent of the damage, and it was determined that the best course of action was surgery, and it was performed Thursday. They replaced a valve and did an artery graft, the surgery was successful and Dad is recovering.

Our dilemma is that we are far from family, and it is difficult to be far away when we’re feeling our place is with our loved ones to lend our support. So we do the best we can to keep in touch, and keep our family in our prayers. Posts will be sparse for a time.
