After an overnight stay in the Ashepoo River, we arrived at Beaufort, SC at about 10;30 AM. Our overnight anchorage was very calm, and probably the quietest we’ve had. We went ashore on a local dock and gave the pups an opportunity to stretch their legs. We were treated to a beautiful sunset, and a skyful of stars! On to Beaufort, SC in the morning. We anchored off the marina, and were able to land at a public landing. Beaufort is another location where beautiful historic antebellum homes line the streets. We reconnected with Celebrate, and visited a bit after one of our shore stops. The homes there are beautiful, and the town is just next to the waterfront, with lots of interesting shops and art galleries. Beaufort is home to a college that has an active art school.
