We wished friends Dan & Myla aboard Kairos fair winds and following seas as they finally embarked on their crossing to Bimini! As Dan says, ‘Ships & sailors rot in port’… so after six weeks, they decided they’d take advantage of the weather window before it closed over the weekend. So Saturday afternoon they headed out of Boot Key as planned. They had an uneventful crossing, and were in Alice Town by noon Sunday, according to schedule. The window did close, and winds piped back up to the 20-25 kt. range, so they and us as well were glad to have Kairos secure in their slip Sunday. We hope to join them in the next two weeks!
This photo is a good starting point for a new Gallery Album, so photos related to our Bahamas leg of our travels will be in a new album entitled Bahamas Bound.
