Last minute details are being handled, lists are being completed, tasks crossed off. We’re on target to slip dock lines on Black Friday. Propane tanks are topped off, all those maintenance chores are complete, logs are up to date, electronic chart updates are current. Your truly, the skipper is quickly adapting to life with no gallbladder after Friday’s outpatient procedure, so we’ll be free to start cruising, after “swallowing the anchor” for almost six months! We’re looking forward to getting back out on the waterways! Fuel prices have been stable, we’re hoping those increases that the instability in the world situation threaten to initiate will come after we’ve visited the fuel dock! I believe we have a better chance at the lottery than predicting fuel prices. It’s a gamble that’s just part of the cruising life! We’ll spend Thanksgiving Day with family, and make our way back to Maerin Thursday evening for a pre-dawn departure Friday morning, destination Solomon’s MD. A full day’s cruise of about 67 nm. All, of course contingent on favorable weather!

I’m sitting here in Annapolis and I just saw you on marinetraffic.com, and then googled your blog. Isn’t technology wonderful? We’ll be right behind you, leaving in about a week or so. Travel safe!
