Selene Rendezvous – Stuart

Friday morning we dropped the mooring pennant and headed 30 miles south to Stuart, Hutchinson Island Marriot for the 1st East Coast Selene Rendezvous. We had the opportunity to meet some Selene owner’s we didn’t know, and renew some friendships from past TrawlerFests. A wonderful opportunity to share experiences with our boats, and see how other Selene owners outfit and use their boats. There were about 25 owners present, with about 8 coming on their boats. Ours was the only 43, and the only Solo, the black sheep of the flock! The newer boats clearly demonstrate the genesis of the line, and the status of Selene as a top-of-the-line trawler is indisputable.

Sunday we headed back to Vero, we had a relaxed cruise, lots of local boat traffic on Sunday afternoon, enjoying the warm weather, temps in the 80’s.

Yeah go ahead and rub that 80 degree stuff in as most of us in the north are either shivering or will be shivering in the next day or two. Great to see your having fun though!

But it’s going to get cold here, too. Another front slated to push through promises some ugly weather for us in the next couple days.
