Wednesday, Jan 5th we cruised from St. Augustine to Daytona Beach. We called ahead to Seven Seas Marina, and reserved a slip. This stopover is becoming somewhat of a tradition as this will be our 5th or 6th stopover. It meets our preferred marina criteria: handy, clean, friendly folks, and most importantly, very reasonably priced. We’re happy to have a secure place to tie up with reliable power. Amenities are a necessity for some cruisers, but for us, not so much. We had a soaking rain with some thunder and lightning overnight, a welcome sight for parched eastern Florida.
After a big breakfast at Pat’s Riverside Cafe, we headed out and southward, destination today- Cocoa.
